OUR PURPOSE

The Division of Land Management is a function of the Fairbanks North Star Borough Mayor's Office, responsible for the acquisition, sale and management of thousands of acres of real property owned by the Borough. 

All sales, acquisitions, leases, easements, use agreements and licenses are managed in accordance with FNSB Code Title 20.   Fall colors 2For more information about each type of land use, please click on the respective the heading to the left, under our logo. 

If you have questions regarding your own land, or property owned by a member of the public and not owned by Fairbanks North Star Borough, you may need to contact the Office of Community Planning or another office within the Borough. Feel free to give us a call, and we will do our best to direct you to the correct department.

Acquisition & active stewardship of Borough owned natural resources to the maximum benefit of current & future Borough residents under the policies & direction of the Administration & Borough Assembly. 

Facilitate & encourage the permanent transfer &/or temporary use of Borough owned land to expand our sustainable revenue sources.
