Currently, there are two Book Group options.

Going forward, they may meet in person but also may continue to be conducted via Zoom in whole or in part!

Book Chats Online!

Join us on Wednesday, August 18th, 2021 from 7:00-8:00 PM.  (Future dates will be determined month by month and posted here in advance.)

Wondering what a Book Chat is?

Unlike a traditional book club, there is no required reading.  All genres and subject areas are welcome.  If you want to chat about the latest book you’ve read, hear what others are reading, or want to discover what to read next by talking with other readers in a relaxed setting, the Book Chat is for you. Share your thoughts or listen in to learn what other attendees and library staff are reading.

This program is intended for adults.  A Program Registration link is available here and in our Programs & Events calendar at the bottom of our website.  Once registered, you'll receive an emailed Zoom invite shortly before the program.

OLLI Book Discussion Group - Summer Break!  Enjoy.

The OLLI Book Discussion group does not meet during the summer.  The next meeting will be Tuesday, September 21, 2021 from 1:30 to 3:00 PM.   We'll be discussing the novel Bellewether by Susanna Kearsley.   Titles alternate between fiction and nonfiction through the year.

**Please note:  The title for October 2021, Blood Barrios by Alberto Arce, is not widely available through the ALC catalog.  Members knew this when titles were decided and many said they would purchase the book.   Two paperback copies are being ordered for Fairbanks and some members have offered to loan their copies to others.  Click "Email Me" in the Guide if you need a book.   Inter Library Loan (ILL) is also an option if you request early.
