Beginning Tuesday, November 9, 2021, the Fairbanks North Star Borough's Treasury counter inside the Juanita Helms Administration Center (JHAC) will have a change in the hours of operation.
This change in service hours will continue through summer 2022. This reduction in hours of operation is due to the work that needs to take place to set up, test, and implement the new property tax system.
- Property tax payments can be made electronically through your bank's or financial institution's bill pay service or via ACI Payments, Inc. (ACIP) via e-check, debit card, or credit card. A fee is charged for ACIP's services. See https://www.fnsb.gov/164/Pay-Property-Tax-Online for further information.
- Property tax, sales tax, and excise tax remittances can be mailed to the Borough. Mail to: FNSB/Treasury, P.O. Box 71320, Fairbanks, AK 99707.
- A payment drop-box inside the JHAC lobby is available during regular business hours, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday. This drop-box will be closed on November 2 and November 9.
- A payment drop box outside the front doors of the JHAC is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, except from midnight on November 1 until 8:00 AM on November 9. From then on, the outside drop box will be open.
The FNSB Treasury counter expects to return to regular business hours late in the summer of 2022. We will keep the public informed about this extension of the limited hours of operation.
