The Assessment Notice is a summary statement showing the value of the land and improvements on the land.
**REMEMBER: An assessment notice is NOT A TAX BILL.**
Property owners are encouraged to review their assessment notice and contact the Assessing Department about errors, omissions, or inequalities.
If an understanding cannot be reached, property owners may appeal to the Board of Equalization by submitting a FNSB Notice of Appeal form. Appeal forms must be obtained from the Assessing Department.
*The deadline to appeal a property assessment is February 24, 2023.*
The bottom half of the Assessment Notice is the Residential-
Homeowner Property Tax Exemption Application.
To qualify, you must own and reside on the property as your primary residence prior to January 1, 2023 & the property cannot be in ownership as a business name (LLC, partnership, corporation, etc.).

March 31, 2023.
